In most developed countries, the majority of the population is the middle class. That's why politicians like them so much, they are the majority of voters but the middle class is trapped between the rich and the poor in a constant rat race.
1. No motivation The poor work hard for survival, the rich work hard to make more money. But the middle class, they have no motivation to work. They are stuck in a middle class squeeze. The salary you get as middle class hardly increase to match inflation.
2. Comfort They love comfort and from an evolutionary standpoint it makes sense. The middle class don't want to get out of their comfort zone.
3. Environment Environment is very important. So if you continue seeing the same people, living in the same area, there will be no social mobility for you
4. Wrong associations with money If you think that money is the root of all evil, you cannot get out of the middle class
