Understanding Intrinsic Value: Benjamin Graham's Formula Explained



The father of value investing, Benjamin Graham, wrote a formula that can be used to estimate the intrinsic value of a company in the 1962 edition of The Intelligent Investor.


He warned us that it was only an estimate in the footnotes.


Unfortunately, in new editions, the footnotes went at the back and many believe that this is the correct formula to use.


What's important is to understand how the formula works.
