Southern Copper is the 8th largest Copper producer in the world with operations in Mexico and Peru.
It currently has the longest mine lifespan at 70 years and has the second largest reserve of Copper in the world after Chilean State-Owned company Codelco.
Southern Copper is also one of the Copper producers with the lowest production cost.
Now is a good time to invest in Copper especially with the electrification of the developing world and the rise of renewable and EVs in the developed world. Electric vehicles and wind turbines use a lot of Copper. The demand for Copper is expected to increase in the coming years and Copper prices are quite low right now.
