💰 YTD my portfolio returned 41% vs 13% for the S&P 500 $SPX500 . Let's see why I was able to make these returns. What are my best investments for the year. These do not include only stock investments.
🎰 Number 5: Caesars Entertainment. This company was being bought by Eldorado Resorts and I bought for arbitrage. I made 100% in 3 months.
📚 Number 4: Creating my investing course for beginners. Since I never had a formal education in finance or accounting, by creating this course, I was able to learn a lot myself. To quote Richard Feynman, if you want to master something, teach it.
⚡ Number 3: Freeport-McMoran $FCX . This is the best performing stock on the S&P 500 since March. I invested in this copper miner because I'm bullish on copper long-term with Electric vehicles and renewable energy and possible supply gap. But I got lucky that copper prices skyrocketed and it is one of my best investments of the year.
📲 Number 2: Skyworks Solutions $SWKS . Although, I started buying this stock in mid 2019, I took the opportunity to increase my position when the stock crashed by 40% during the bear market. Today, it is the second largest position in my portfolio. Skyworks Solutions is one of the suppliers of Apple $AAPL and a bet on 5G.
🎮 Number 1: GameStop $GME . I started buying this stock in September 2019. But bought even more when it crashed by 60% earlier this year. That's how today, I'm making over 300% on this investment. The best is yet to come for GameStop in 2021.
