Instead of making a video about my portfolio every quarter, I'm now going to make one every month so that I can focus more on the stocks which matter the most. For example,
40.3% of my portfolio is in US stocks
I wanted my exposure to US stocks to be lower, around 35% but because of GameStop $GME which gained a lot lately. MY profits on GameStop are 124% and it is 14% of my portfolio. The reason why I don't want too much exposure to US stocks is because of the high valuations on the S&P 500 $SPX500 . But GameStop is not so correlated with the rest of the market.
Other US stocks I have in my portfolio are Skyworks Solutions, JPMorgan Chase and Apple $AAPL . My total profits on Apple is over 300% as I bought this stock in 2016 and 2018 when everybody was selling.
US stocks I'm currently buying are Alaska Airlines and Essent Group.
13.1% of my portfolio is in Non-US Stocks: China Mobile, Qudian, South Korean ETF EWY and Brazil ETF EWZ.
16.9% of my portfolio is in commodity stocks. I'm very bullish on Gold $GOLD , silver and Copper. Consequently, I have the Russian Gold and silver miner, Polymetal international and copper miner Freeport-McMoran. I also have 3 oil stocks in my portfolio, Whiting Petroleum, Concho Resources and Parsley Energy. Concho Resources and Parsley Energy will be acquired soon so I'll be looking at other oil stocks.
3.4% of my portfolio is in workouts and special situations. These include two stocks, Fitbit and Genworth Financials, both of which are arbitrage deals. I prefer workouts over cash.
8.0% of my portfolio is in precious metals through the GLD and SLV $SLV ETF. This is another better alternative to cash.
